70 seats in ENES 100 have been set aside specifically for students not majoring in Engineering in Spring 2013. If you are interested in taking this course, please email your request to keystone@umd.edu, and include your name, UID, if you plan to apply to the Engineering School, and if applicable the semester you intend to apply. You need to have completed MATH 140 or be registered to take it this spring to receive permission.
If you qualify, you will be granted permission for ENES 100A. Each section of this course is a subsection of a standard ENES 100 course. Creating a subsection was the best way the registration system could handle us setting aside a certain number of seats for students outside of Engineering.
Please note that just as with any course, being granted permission does not guarantee you a seat. If the section you want is full, you are welcome to add yourself to the wait list.
If you will be applying to the Engineering School for Spring 2013, please do NOT request a seat in ENES 100A. We have held back seats in ENES 100 for our new spring transfers.
